EN Inshuti Italy-Rwanda Association

The Association

Inshuti ItaliaRwanda is a non-profit organization  founded in 2007 by a courageous woman, Grace Kantengwa, escaped from the civil war in Rwanda. After spending her youth in a refugee camp in Uganda, with the help of a missionary, arrives in Italy where she now lives with her family and her two sisters. From her experience comes the desire to help others in need, first support her impoverished country where it has not had the privilege to grow. Our mission: support and promote the people of Rwanda, Congo and Uganda, and Africa in general.

Our current projects include: providing humanitarian aid and assistance to children in medical need through health care, 250 child sponsorships, a microcredit project at VUNGA (we support 21 families), and a new elementary school at RUKORE, a village in northeast Rwanda, where thanks to the commitment of our teachers, we went from a low level of performance to having 10 students awarded with excellence by national standards! We have purchased land to build the “Little House for the Women of Gahini” (at KAYONZA) to start a women’s labor cooperative.
Currently, we are seeking funds to finance the new project of the catering professional school in KAYONZA .
